PURE FINANCE GROUP is now expanding our team and we're hiring a full time Underwriter at our corporate location in Columbia, MD.

Pure Finance Group is a full-service consumer finance company that specializes in providing flexible financing programs to the home improvement industry. We partner to offer customers straight forward financing options that meet their needs and deliver additional revenue.

SUMMARY:

The Underwriter underwrites home improvement loan/credit applications. The Underwriter determines whether to accept, modify, send to another lender or decline application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Maximize portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and risk management principles
• Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; elevate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures- Collect on past due accounts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-3 years of related experience in an Underwriting function or similar activity (PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED)
• Understanding of the credit process and reading credit reports
• Must have high attention to detail as well as customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
