Job Description

1. Performs laboratory experiments to support process improvement and process understanding.
2. Works cross-functionally with multiple internal departments to support projects
3. Execute studies independently with minimum supervision
4. Organizes and analyzes data from process development studies.
5. Works with minimal supervision after training and ensures laboratory safety protocols are followed.
6. This role will also work in a cold room at 5 C. Candidates may have to manually lift, push or pull up 10-100 lbs to move large volumes of liquid media/buffers. Larger lifts will be performed with a second person and with assistive devices like trolleys and lifting platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical or biochemical engineering or other applicable life sciences major
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Must be comfortable with routine lab operations and demonstrate knowledge of equipment and laboratory techniques used in protein purification.
• Must have hands-on experience working with lab systems such as AKTA Explorer/Pure liquid chromatography system
• Experience troubleshooting problems encountered during routine lab testing.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, oral and written, in a multi-disciplinary, project-driven environment.
• Familiarity with cell culture process is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Candidates must be able to work in cold rooms and complete manual lifts of lage volumes of media (Push or pull up 10-100 lbs to move large volumes of liquid media/buffers. Larger lifts will be performed with a second person and with assistive devices like trolleys and lifting platforms.)

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, **** 1st shift, Monday-Friday.

• Pay is between $34.65 - $37.40 based on experience level
