If so, Daily Hope is looking for a planned gift representative like you. As a dedicated member of this team within the major gift department, you will support the national and international fundraising efforts of Daily Hope ministry headquartered out of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, by providing guidance and expertise to navigate complex gifts from both generous donors and some of the most sophisticated philanthropists. You will provide sound stewardship and direction to guide them to support the mission and vision of Pastor Rick and the global movement of Daily Hope.

PURPOSE

To support the fundraising efforts of Daily Hope by providing oversight and guidance to donors as well as other major gift representatives on staff, while cultivating relationships and soliciting funds to advance the mission.

ABOUT DAILY HOPE

Mission: Pastor Rick’s passion to launch on radio was born from three deep convictions…

· People are discouraged and everyone needs HOPE. We know that HOPE comes from the Scriptures. Discouragement is rampant… in the weak economic recovery and high rate of joblessness, the natural disasters, painful school shootings, gridlock among political leaders and much more. Society is coarsening and there is a clear loss of civility. People need to hear the Gospel and the HOPE in CHRIST more than ever.

· Bringing the Gospel to the unreached is our greatest goal. Pastor Rick passionately feels the need to reach the remaining 2900 unreached tribes and people groups with the Gospel of Jesus. This is the greatest evangelistic global initiative we can team up together to achieve (Revelations 7:9). Pastor Rick intends to use the Daily Hope radio program to mobilize the people and the funding needed to accomplish this goal.

· Religious liberty is our first right. Pastor Rick is deeply concerned about the erosion of religious liberty in America. On every front – school campuses, businesses, hospitals, and even in churches, secularists in government are increasingly trying to limit, undermine, and even outlaw historic protections of our religious liberty. Our first freedom is religious liberty and it needs to be protected. This may become the civil rights issue of the next decade and Pastor Rick intends to be a big voice in protecting our first right.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Understand, embrace, and integrate the Daily Hope philosophy and underlying theology of fundraising into your approach to donor relations.

· Provide sound stewardship and direction to donors as you lead them to support the mission and vision of the ministry on an ongoing basis.

· Identify, contact, and execute processes and procedures to streamline organizational actions and resources with an assigned portfolio for proper donor engagement.

· Offer educational support and materials regarding all levels of planned gifts to fellow staff members, donors, and prospective donors.

· Work with legal counsel and financial counsel from both the donor’s side, as well as representatives with Daily Hope’s financial partners.

· Oversee and execute the production, maintenance and updating of weekly and monthly planned gift reports.

· Oversee and implement the necessary daily data entry into a CRM for proper donor management tracking.

· Liaison with assigned Daily Hope staff and third-party partners as directed and required to effectively complete assignments and projects.

· Handle other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS BY DAILY HOPE

· Is a born again believer of Jesus Christ and maintains faithful fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:25); maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Daily Hope; exhibits integrity in professional and personal life; adheres to Daily Hope’s Code of Honor and Core Values; upholds Daily Hope’s ministry in prayer.

· A track-record of excellent people skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels through face-to-face, written, phone calls, email, text, social media, and other channels as necessary.

· Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.

· 7-10 years of fundraising experience (minimum), or financial planning experience for a major public or private firm.

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, or related field.

· The ability to lead, work in a team setting, and work independently.

· Experience with implementing new ideas and strategies.

· Proactive self-starter driven by the mission and vision of the ministry.

· Fosters a spirit of unity and teamwork, pursues integrity, and is service and servant minded.

· Passionate about assisting Christian organizations in fulfilling their vision.

· Knowledge of planned giving and it’s complexities, including estate planning, tax laws, wills, trusts, etc. is a plus but is not required.

· Weekly travel may be required.
