Our company, located in south Orange County, is seeking a Full Stack Developer / Systems Developer to maintain, upgrade and manage our software and hardware. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. Specifically, this position requires a developer skilled in design, development, installation, implementation, modification, and support of new or existing applications software. Functions may include analyzing functional and systems requirements, developing application and database architecture and design, writing html code, validating data acquisition and output media/formats, designing user interfaces, developing and maintaining websites, installing and troubleshooting plugins, interactive applications, simulations, video/audio streaming, working with users to test, debug, and troubleshoot applications, assuring software and systems quality and functionality, integrating hardware and software components, writing and maintaining program documentation, evaluating new and improved software applications and programming technologies, and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.

This position requires the skillset of a developer who also possesses strong administrator skills to interpret and communicate information, ideas and instructions clearly, accurately and persuasively both verbally and in writing including internal documentation (such as manuals, IT policies, and tutorials) to all levels of the organization, including the expertise to train entry level staff on new technologies.

This person must be self-directed, motivated, organized, and results driven. The successful candidate must able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. This person must understand current technologies and must be continuously exploring and experimenting with new technologies. To be successful, this person must ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Install, implement, modify, configure and support new or existing applications software/hardware

· Develop application and database architecture

· Design and write html code

· Manage network servers and technology tools

· Set up accounts and workstations

· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

· Troubleshoot issues and outages

· Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls

· Upgrade systems with new releases and models

· Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies

· Create internal documentation, manuals and IT policies

· Manage and maintain WordPress environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proven experience as a Network Systems / Developer with strong Administrator expertise.

· Experience with databases networks (and patch management.

· Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.

· Ability to learn and become the expert in various cloud based third party systems.

· Ability to create script in Python, Perl or other languages.

· Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.

· Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

· Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, this position requires the ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted

and bend as necessary. The ability to speak clearly so listeners understand, and to understand the speech of others. The ability to see objects, colors, shades and brightness is necessary. The ability to speak, read, and write in English.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position and core days / hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; however, this position requires the ability to provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local and during the business day; travel includes all hands-on deck for local conferences.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

· Related experience required.
