Purr Inc. is currently hiring an exceptional Seasonal Cat Sitter to join our team for the 4th of July weekend (July 1st-4th).  

We are an in-home, pet sitting service exclusively for cats. Our goal is to make our clients' time away from home much easier by providing an alternative to the added stresses of boarding. We believe that cats do better within the comfort of their own home and that is why our service is designed to bring the pet care experience directly to the client.

Pet Sitters Responsibilities:

• This is a part-time seasonal position (sitter needs to be available from 9:30 am-3:30 pm) in the Near North Side of Chicago.
• Visit with client's pet(s) at their home for varying lengths of time (usually 15-30 minutes each) and provide fresh food, water, litter cleaning and play time. Transportation via Lyft Line account is provided.
• Communicate with management during the work shift and submit a pet progress report that includes quality pet photos
• Appropriate pet clean-up as required (i.e. litter scooping when sitting for a cat)

Pet Sitters Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in inclement weather (rain, snow or shine).
• Must be very detail oriented and follow directions well
• Please type: seasonal cat sitter, in the cover letter box on the application.
• Must be responsible, reliable, dependable, timely and punctual. We are seeking fast-learners that are adaptable to changing environments.
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate with animals (especially cats)
• Must be fluent with smartphones (applications, cameras, and Google Maps). Experience using ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft a plus
• Criminal and employment background check required
