    This position is available at any of our office locations.

    The Pursuit Specialist serves as a strategic partner to studio and business development leadership, leading proposal efforts and driving pursuit strategy from start to finish. This role goes beyond coordination - taking ownership of proposals, interviews, and marketing initiatives that position the firm for success. With a focus on business development support, resource management, and pursuit leadership, the Pursuit Specialist plays a key role in advancing the firm’s visibility, winning work, and strengthening client relationships.

    Responsibilities

    • Proposal Leadership and Interview Management
      • Lead proposal and pursuit efforts, ensuring high-quality, compelling proposal content.
      • Support Studio and Thought Leaders for presentation needs, including identifying materials, arranging space, and coordinating with graphics and IT for audio/visual setup.
      • Ensure quality assurance, project close-out.
    • Studio Asset & Resource Leadership
      • Studio Project Data: Coordinate Studio Knowledge data to Knowledge Leader each week. follow up on progress and send updates or links to the studio. Ie. new project sheets, award submissions, brochures and links, proposal content that goes into OpenAsset
      • Federal | State | Local | Market Forms and Guidelines: Work with Knowledge Leader for Maintenance of all Federal State, Local forms including SF 330 (annual update), HUB, Cities/Counties/State Procurement for Market Sector including IMS
      • Studio Tradeshow Management Work with Marketing Coordinators and Communications Coordinator to plan Tradeshow materials and implementation
      • Quality assurance
    • Business Development Assistance
      • Monitor procurement with studio team through platforms such as IMS, BidSync, bonfire etc.
      • Assist studio and location personnel on upcoming marketing priorities and deadlines.
      • Support marketing initiatives, including studio Business Developers
        • Monitor sources of industry-related market information
      • Virtually attend Studio (BD) meetings across locations.
      • Track and report Studio BD budget, events, and pursuit activities with the BD team.
      • Support the Studio by tracking events in Teams, assign duties, work with the Digital Media Coordinator for tradeshow planning/execution, and monitor Business Development conferences.
      • Coordinate and develop marketing materials with the marketing studio, such as proposals, brochures, content, and social media.
        • Work with the Digital Media Coordinator to plan and execute monthly social media content.
        • Work with the Digital Media Coordinator for Studio photography needs.
    • CRM Management
      • CRM Maintenance
      • Provide weekly updates on Studio Knowledge data, including new project sheets, VP data, awards, brochures, and proposal content.
      • Work with Knowledge Leader on Federal, State, and Local forms, such as SF 330, registrations, and procurement requirements.
    • Leadership and Professional Development
      • Participate in leadership development through internal committees and growth strategies and engage in community or academic programs.
      • Model leadership behavior for peers and staff and support their engagement in civic and professional organizations.

     

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or pursuit strategy within the A/E/C industry.
    • Demonstrated experience leading proposal efforts and managing complex pursuit processes (federal, state, and local procurement experience required).
    • Familiarity with CRM platforms, procurement tracking systems (IMS, BidSync, Bonfire, etc.), and knowledge management tools.
    • Experience supporting interview preparation and presentation strategy preferred.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to develop compelling narratives from technical content.
    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong project management and organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Working knowledge of SF 330 forms, procurement registrations, and government compliance processes.
    • Experience with CRM systems, databases, and digital asset management platforms (OpenAsset, Joist, Zendesk and Monday.com).
    • Skilled in collateral development (brochures, presentations, social media, video content, and tradeshow materials).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with leadership, technical staff, consultants, and external partners, assurance, proofreading, and brand consistency.
