Exciting Opportunity for CPA

Position: Tax Manager:

Location: Cleveland, Ohio or Charlotte, NC - Remote

 We are searching for a Tax Manager/CPA in the Cleveland, OH or Charlotte, NC region who has demonstrated an exemplary level of achievement in public accounting in Tax, Audit, or Business Advisory. 

 About Cunningham & Associates CPA: Founded in 1992, our Firm has been growing at a double-digit clip while placing an emphasis on work life balance. We constantly strive to facilitate a friendly, collaborative workplace where our teams work together across offices and state lines to provide value to our clients. Our roots remain firmly planted in Ohio; however, our business model has led us to open additional offices in South Carolina, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Our client pool can cover rural smaller communities like Bellevue, OH, or thriving metropolitan areas like Charlotte, NC.  

 Must-Have Requirements:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of public accounting experience with a large, regional, or national firm
• CPA license required, additional credentials a plus (CVA, CFE, CFP, etc)
• A level of technical competency commensurate with your specific years of experience in Auditing – Assurance, Tax (Individual or Business), or Business Advisory
• Experience as direct supervisor of multiple staff Experience as primary relationship manager for multiple clients

Additional Skillset and Traits:

• You fully grasp the technology utilized in business and specifically in the accounting profession, but you also understand that personal interaction with clients and colleagues is a key ingredient to successful relationship building
• You have demonstrated successful leadership in a dynamic environment and are respected in the business community
• You have a large appetite for continuous learning and improvement, but just as large is your appetite for teaching, coaching, and mentoring
• You understand that process, procedure, and workflow is the path to get a large volume of work done efficiently and timely while minimizing workplace stress and fatigue and thus errors
• You have vision. Vision to identify issues before they arise. Vision to identify opportunities that others don’t see. You are proactive in bringing solutions to the forefront both for clients and the firm
• You are ready to take charge of a practice group within the firm, manage one of our existing or new offices, or both
• You enjoy and embrace giving back to those in need
• And lastly, you know how to have fun!
