DESCRIPTION: Unique opportunity for a college student to spend the summer working at an entrepreneurial, fast-paced commercial real estate development company. Cushman & Wakefield / Pyramid Brokerage Company is a full service commercial real estate company that specializes in office, industrial, investment, retail and mixed-use projects. These projects include triple net, free standing outparcels, retail strip centers, big box anchored retail centers, and infill mixed use projects combining industrial, retail, office, and residential. The individual we are looking for is a self-starter who is extremely organized, detail-oriented and eager to learn about the commercial real estate industry.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: As a Real Estate Intern, you will be exposed to the many facets of the real estate industry including finance, development, marketing, legal, property management and construction. You will gain hands-on experience working on projects in various development stages and you will have the opportunity to work alongside all Cushman & Wakefield / Pyramid Brokerage Company members. You will have the opportunity to job shadow and participate in day-to-day operations so that you’re exposed to all aspects of the industry. You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously on projects that will be assigned to allow you to delve deeper into specific topics and contribute to the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: • Building and updating stacking plans • Collect market data on rent and sales transactions • Researching online sources and in-house databases • Research of real estate websites and property tax sites • Help in preparing proposals and marketing materials • Participate in the preparation of market analysis • Work with Councils and Marketing Research Groups • Using the MLS to find properties that match a buyer’s criteria • Attend weekly office sales meetings, Council meetings or other pertinent meetings • Attend client or potential client meetings with sales personnel as requested
***PLEASE NOTE: You are currently unlicensed in NYS as a Real Estate Salesperson. You will not be able to discuss properties, either current or prospective, the real estate marketing or any information discussed within the office to anyone outside of the office with the express permission of Management. Other: • Faxing, copying, typing letters, etc. • Communicate and work closely with President, sales agents, and administrative personnel. • Completes all special projects as assigned. • Mileage reimbursement from our Latham office to specified properties, offices, or location assignments that are approved by Supervisor. Mileage is processed through your biweekly paycheck.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to prioritize and exercise independent judgment.

TIME CARD You must complete a timecard EACH WEEK and submit to President of PBC Albany by Friday at noon.
