Infusion RN nurse

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

Must be experienced and familiar with specialty biologic medications: Remicade, Orencia, Actemra, Rituxan, etc. Nurse must also be familiar with IVIG’s infusion and Wound Care. Nurse must have knowledge with reconstituting and mixture of medication. Infusion nurse must know how to monitor patient’s vitals and in any adverse reaction event, the infusion nurse must have knowledge on how to appropriately assess and treat the situation. Infusion nurse must know how to start PIV line (Peripheral),PICC, PORT access and document the administration.

Required Qualifications:

RN license in Texas in good standing with regulatory boards

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s of Nursing (BON) preferred

2 years’ experience with IV biologics infusion (IVIG, Remicade, Orencia, Rituxan etc

Experience working with a variety of PUMPs as well as trouble shooting issues that arise

Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills

Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations

Home infusion experience

Must be flexible and willing to travel to physician offices and patient homes

Provide high quality patient care

Current driver’s license in good standing with proof of automotive insurance required

Current CPR

Must have own liability insurance

CRNI and IGCN Preferred

Infusion: 2 years (Preferred)

Experience maintaining, accessing and de-accessing central lines and medical ports

License:

Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (Preferred)

Driver's License (Preferred)
