Reimbursement Specialist

Independent Pharmacy- Pearland, TX

Full-time specialty reimbursement specialist position for an independent pharmacy, and high-volume retail setting located in Pearland, TX. Performs general office duties such a general billing claims, resubmits, adjustment, secondary billing, collections; authorizations and re-authorizations and reports. Competitive salary, no weekends, no nights, and full benefits/health insurance available.

Skills desired:

** PK, McKesson, Enterprise RX - Software experience

** Medical billing and coding experience (Preferred)

** Current State Pharmacy Technician License

** Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.

** Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

** Strong organizational skills

** Detail oriented and good problem-solving skills

** Computer knowledge – experience with Microsoft programs

** Ability to speak effectively to patients, clients, and coworkers.

** Ability to read and interpret written and verbal communication such as procedure manuals, insurance verification forms, insurance verification calls, insurance pre-determination, and authorization forms. Ability to write correspondence and complete forms.

** Familiar with Insurance payer medical policies, claims filing deadlines, appeal filing deadlines, and any other pertinent information related to medical billing and collections.

** Strong data entry and typing skills

** Knowledge of pharmaceutical terms including knowledge of brand and generic

** $14-17/h
