  • Responsibilities

We are a well-established clothing manufacturer with a global footprint, supporting large-scale overseas production while maintaining a tight, collaborative U.S.-based team. With decades of experience in apparel manufacturing, we manage complex production workflows, inventory systems, and operational data across multiple plants and partners worldwide. Our team is lean, fast-moving, and hands-on, with technology playing a critical role in how we operate and scale.

We are seeking an in-house Python -Focused Programmer to take ownership of the systems that power our manufacturing, inventory, and operational workflows. This is a critical role, as our current programmer is transitioning out, and this position will step in as the primary technical resource for internal systems. You will work closely with leadership and operations to maintain, improve, and build tools that directly support production, inventory tracking, reporting, and process automation. This is an on-site, full-time role and is best suited for someone who enjoys being embedded in the business and having real ownership over systems, not just writing isolated code.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain, enhance, and develop internal software systems supporting manufacturing, inventory management, and operations

    • Work heavily with Python to build scripts, applications, and automation

    • Leverage AI tools and automation (e.g., scripting assistants, process optimization tools, data analysis models) to streamline workflows, improve processes, and reduce manual effort across systems

    • Integrate and manage data across multiple systems related to production, inventory, logistics, and reporting

    • Troubleshoot system issues and proactively improve reliability and performance

    • Collaborate closely with operations, production, and management to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

    • Document systems, processes, and workflows for continuity and scalability

    • Take over and improve existing codebases and tools built by the prior programmer

    • Serve as the primary internal technical point of contact for system-related needs

    Qualifications

    • Strong proficiency in Python
    • Experience working with systems related to manufacturing, inventory management, ERP, or supply chain operations
    • Comfort working with databases, APIs, and data pipelines
    • Practical experience using AI-driven tools or automation to improve productivity, simplify tasks, or enhance internal processes
    • Ability to understand business processes and design practical technical solutions
    • Experience maintaining and improving existing systems, not just building from scratch
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders
    • Willingness to work fully in-office, five days per week

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000, depending on experience
    • Full health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision
    • Paid holidays
    • Stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established manufacturer

    Location & Schedule

    • Full-time, in-office position
    • Office located on West 37th Street, New York City
    • Team size: approximately 25 employees locally, with over 1,000 employees across overseas production facilities
