    Position Summary

    The Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of test plans to ensure software solutions meet business and technical requirements. This role involves participating in test design, executing test cases, and identifying defects to help ensure the solution performs as expected.

    The Quality Analyst will contribute to testing efforts across functionality, automation, performance, and system integration, working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities may vary depending on project size and team structure.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate as part of the QA team during test analysis, design, build, and execution phases across one or more test levels
    • Support the Quality Manager and senior team members in planning and executing testing activities
    • Review system requirements and design documents to understand testing needs
    • Assist in identifying and prioritizing test requirements to validate system behavior
    • Help map test cases to business and functional requirements
    • Contribute to defining test environments and test data requirements
    • Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data based on defined requirements
    • Document and execute manual and/or automated test scripts
    • Log and track defects using established tools and processes
    • Collaborate with developers, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues
    • Produce clear and concise test documentation in line with project standards
    • Support maintenance and regression testing of existing applications
    • Follow established QA best practices to ensure software quality and reliability
    • Contribute ideas for improving QA processes, tools, and team efficiency
    • Perform additional duties as needed

    Educational / Training Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance
    • Experience with manual testing; exposure to automation testing is a plus
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
    • Basic understanding of testing processes and concepts
    • ISTQB Foundation certification (preferred but not required)

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Working knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
    • Basic to intermediate SQL skills
    • Experience with API testing (preferred)
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to clearly document and report defects and test results
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
    • Ability to follow direction while also working independently on assigned tasks
    • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Willingness to learn and grow within the QA discipline
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
