Our busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented overnight maintenance engineer to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. You'll be in charge of the building's maintenance and preventative programs nightly to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. If you're ready to get started, apply today! *** HVAC or Boilers certification is required for this position as it is an overnight engineer in a boutique hotel downtown*** Responsibilities: • Work with a variety of tools hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade • Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations • Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand • Complete all work orders and fix maintenance problems promptly • Create an available channel of communication between you and other staff, including managers and department heads Qualifications: • You should have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary • Driver’s license and outstanding driving record is necessary • Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED • Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance • HVAC 2nd Class or Boilers 2nd Class is required and applicants without license will not be considered at this time Compensation: $19 hourly
