Job Summary
The Restoration Technician is responsible for providing on-site services to our customers, working alongside with other hourly staff and field management. The Restoration Technician is expected to deliver expert and professional services to our clients with the expectations of developing skills to advance within the company. The Restoration Technician must demonstrate an interest and desire to excel in all aspects of the company including technical and leadership abilities. This person will be in front line contact during a project and is a valuable contributor to the organization. The Restoration Technician may work extended hours based upon the severity of the damage and/or task at hand.
Responsibilities
Inspect and scope fire, wind, water and disaster related losses.
Move and protects contents to perform drying and/or clean up
Perform light demolition and haul away debris from job site
Move dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers and perform water extraction amongst other duties
Drive and operate truck and machinery including water extractor
Performs board up, tarps and other preventive services to prevent further damage to property
Responsible for the completion of paperwork and maintain other staff members informed of progress of each project
Other duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications and Skills
Know how to use basic hand tools such as hammer, pry bar, etc.
Organized and motivated
Team player mentality
Ability to make decisions and supervise the work of supporting staff
Personable and professional individual who makes a good first impression with customers
Basic knowledge of restoration and/or construction
Education and/or Experience Basic knowledge of restoration and construction.
IICRC Certifications for Water, Fire & Odor and Mold - preferred
Must have and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license. Must have or be willing to obtain the applicable certifications pertaining to the industry. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to adverse weather conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. May also involve confined spaces that one must crawl through. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
