Job Summary
As the QNTM Fitness Director, you will serve as the everyday leader and resource to our team of personal trainers and group fitness instructors as they service in-person, offsite, and online clientele. Managing this dynamic of accountability and development, this position is designed for someone who thrives on helping others reach their fitness, sales, and overall professional potential.
The Fitness Director is also responsible for responsible for driving fitness results of our membership. Whether providing an encouraging consultation to a new member, ensuring an existing training client is progressing as planned, or showing someone on the strength floor an alternative movement, the Fitness Director must establish themselves as a health and fitness authority within QNTM. Additionally, how to communicate this expertise to the greater Nashville area.
QNTM Personal Training
Duties & Responsibilities
Department Leadership
Meet or exceed the Training Department Budgeted Net Income on a Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual basis
Set, Track and Report performance toward monthly, weekly and daily goals and objectives
Executes an effective prospecting strategy, to implement and closely monitor the member on-boarding system and assist in maximizing member retention & increase in personal training sales
Assists in all revenue generating activities, including but not limited to complimentary workouts, supplement booths, body fat analysis, seminars, workshops, etc.
Direct training sales, including achievement of personal monthly sales quotas
Conduct new member orientation, movement analysis, and other fitness programs
Ensure accurate administration of Personal Training client files, measurement tracking, and workout programs
Manage personal training billing, accounting, and commission systems
Manage Group X Team
Maintain Group X growth and usage
Team Leadership
Serve as a leader of operational excellence for the Training and Group X Department
Ensure Trainers are productive, that revenue and service goals are properly communicated such that the Club remains on-track to attain financial goals
Conduct monthly, weekly and daily meetings with the Trainers to review performance and operations, as well as offer direction, motivation and guidance toward achieving personal and club goals
Manage and monitor personal training and sales schedule, time, and attendance, submitting accurate payroll information as needed
Ensure that all Personal Trainers are delivering high quality programs to their clients
Ensure trainers are meeting required training minimums and hold up-to-date certifications
Ensure that team members consistently execute the basics in punctuality, dress code compliance, friendliness and cleanliness
Fitness Leadership
Knowledge of all fitness and non-fitness related programs taking place within the club
Serve as a point of reference for fitness expertise within the Club, educating members on current health and fitness issues and trends
Provide education and training on proper use of exercise equipment available to members
Regularly engage members, assisting and encouraging their fitness results and involvement in personal training
Conduct personal training sessions as necessary
General Leadership
Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards and leading by example for delivering a clean, friendly and well-maintained club
Actively participate in day-to-day club operations and special events as member of management team

A comprehensive understanding of health club operations
Education, Experience, and Education
Health & Fitness Management and Sales experience (Prior personal training management or sales management preferred)
Demonstrated Success as a manager
Degree from an accredited, four-year college or university (Degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred)
Personal training certification (Preferred certifications: NSCA, ACE, PTA Global Certified Trainer, ACSM, AFAA, CI and NASM, CSCS)
Knowledge of FitMetrix and DataTrak fitness software (or similar)
Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification
Experience providing fitness and nutritional programming
Physical Demands
The Training Manager is a leader of Personal Training Sales and Operations. This requires them to be on their feet leading tours, consulting with members, possibly providing personal training sessions. This position must be able to demonstrate activity for all exercises and equipment in the facility.

Compensation, Culture, and Benefits
Total Performance-Based Compensation for this position can range between $55,000 and $90,000 annually based on experience, qualifications and performance.
Full-Time Position, Minimum of 40-50 hours per week, including weekend and on-call responsibilities
