Senior Statistician - Office or Home Based
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Sustainability Intern supports identification and execution of divisional and corporate, sustainability and social responsibility opportunities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Refine comprehensive list of active 2021 Sustainability initiatives for the division to include, progress updates and next steps.
Develop a baseline for water usage in the Salad Plants, and work with VA Plants to identify and quantify projects to reduce that usage.
Liaison with Corporate Sustainability staff to support 2021 corporate-wide sustainability campaigns; by sharing divisional updates, content and images. Assist with developing content for the next corporate sustainability report.
Develop a weekly Tracker to report the divisions veg/salad donations to charitable organizations. Present the Tracker in weekly S&OP meeting.
Explore zero waste options for Monterey office and provide recommendations to execute.
Gather and analyze data needed in preparation for customer’s annual sustainability surveys.
Other activities assigned as time permits.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear.
Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, climb on and off harvesting or plant equipment, lift up to 15 pounds (including overhead)
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Ability to walk on uneven ground
Ability to work for short periods in a cold environment (35 – 40 degrees)
Ability to speak Spanish is helpful
