The Manufacturing Engineer will strive for continuous productivity and quality improvements/enhancements and will perform various professional level duties on complex products within varied engineering and scientific activities related to systems and component design, development, and test programs; including hardware and software applications.
Job duties will include:
Identify and implement continuous improvements to the production processes.
Document production procedures and create standards to improve production efficiency.
Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements.
Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices tools and techniques.
Develop and implement production processes for new products, product enhancements and product changes. Support integration, installation, and testing as required.
Minimize overall production costs while maximizing productivity.
Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data, information and trends to management.
May conduct studies, investigations or analyses involving reliability, predictability, value engineering; or quality assurance problems including hardware and software projects.
Source new equipment and material suppliers as required.
Assist in the evaluation of materials/products.
Required Skills
Deep knowledge of manufacturing and production processes and concepts.
Strong analytical engineer; design and analysis of mechanical systems, FEA analysis, Material selection
3D CAD Design (SolidWorks), design for manufacturability (DFM)
Failure analysis, root cause analysis, Six Sigma
Test, analysis, design of integrated technologies
Strong presentation skills (written and oral)
The ability to perform and multi-task and adjust priorities as appropriate
Possess excellent time management skills
Ability to take initiative to meet deadlines and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
Strong problem solving skills
Action and detail oriented

Required Experience
Experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry strongly preferred
Experience with Inertial Navigation Systems strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or process engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, M.S. a plus
Must be a US Citizen or be a US Permanent Residence Card Holder

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Visio, SolidWorks, ERP Systems, Minitab
