Job Description

JOB FUNCTIONS In this role you will provide Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering support to the F-16 production line

•     Drawing and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) interpretation
•     TV/E clarification
•     Bill of Material (BOM) structure, MPRS usage
•     Process specification drill down (electrical bonding, fastener installation torque, 16PR145, etc.)
•     Liaison Engineering, Design Group (IFG FTW) coordination, Engineering change generation support
•     Build sequence, System installation, Planning/Operation card sequence, “In Process” testing requirements,
•     Troubleshooting, shortage workarounds, “Out of Station” rework, change Incorporation

Qualifications The successful candidate is detail oriented and highly collaborative.  There will be a significant amount of interaction with the customer’s teams.  Listening to the customer’s issues and offering proactive solutions is critical to building a strong relationship with this new customer.

•     An AS in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering or related experience
•     Advance knowledge of modern military aircraft, fighter jet preferred.
•     Engineering drawing interpretation experience
•     Advance knowledge of systems installation - wiring, tubing (hydraulic, fuel, O2, ECS), equipment (racks, Line Replaceable Units, instruments)
•     Experience with aircraft production lines - manufacturing and assembly sequence, in-process testing (wiring, hydraulic pressure, fuel tank, etc.)
•     The ability to use independent analysis and judgment in developing solutions to a variety of complex problems of moderate scope and complexity
•     Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences
•     Interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers and external parties; and
•     Excellent computer skills

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

•     Mostly production floor environment
•     Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures
•     Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early
