You will be responsible to learn our internal standards and systems in order to grow your responsibilities and further your technical development. The candidate's salary will be based on experience. We want you to become self - sufficient in doing the work for projects from conception to closing out a project after completion. As a detail-oriented team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, this position will require you to master the following skill sets including but not limited to: Responsibilities: • Working knowledge with Industrial Control Systems • Maintain a strong technical background and an understanding in Industrial Automation PLCs, Drives & Power. • Ability to provide technical support by specifying equipment and supporting the Sales Force and outside customers • Ability to work as part of a team or individually on projects and maintain a professional relationship with all staff members and clients • This includes putting together equipment specific technical part numbers for customer requirements • Develop effective communication skills to pass information clearly to ensure that everyone is following closely and can comprehend the project goals Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or some form of formal education, such as Tech School or Apprenticeship • Five (5) + years of professional experience in the field • Maintain knowledge for AC Drive Topology • Able to follow a schematic, both electrical, mechanical and pneumatic, as well as identify that a PLC is and to be able to read Ladder Logic • Working knowledge of Industrial Communication is - Serial, Ethernet, Profinet • Able to use Windows tools to locate devices on an Ethernet, Ping or Tracert Network • Maintain knowledge on how to assign an IP address to a Siemens Rockwell, GE., etc., Device • Have an understanding to what a Vector Control Algorithm, Contactor, Relay, IO Checkout • Experience with reverse direction of an AC or DC Motor, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and Megger • Maintain dedication to see a complicated project to the end Job Keywords: • PLC o Siemens -S5, S7-300, S7 - 400, S7 - 1200 and S7 - 1500 - Old and New Software o Rockwell / Allen Bradley Control Logix, SLC500 and PLC5 o GE • AC and DC Drives - Siemens, Rockwell, CTC, ABB, WEG • Power Equipment-Circuit Breakers, Switchgear • DC Motors • Automation experience • Drive theory • Mechanical physics of a machine • Relevant VFD Experience - Understanding it, beyond entering parameters, application - minded Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Can climb ladders and steps Drug Screen: • Must be able to pass a urine drug test to be hired, as some industrial clients require a drug test on - site before entering the plant Background Check: • Must be able to pass a background check Personal Characteristics : • High Mechanical \ Electrical Aptitude • Resourceful solving problems • Works comfortably alone in front of clients and other vendors in both high - and low - pressure situations • Comfortable providing tech support over the phone and in-person - willingness to explain what is happening in layman's terms without an attitude Benefits: • Competitive Starting Wage Commensurate with Experience • Benefit package including Medical, Dental and Life Insurance Options • Paid Vacation • Paid Holidays • 401k Profit Sharing Plan • Advancement Opportunities • Potential for Annual Bonus Culture & Core Values - Work Hard.
