Safety Professional Job Responsibilities:
· Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
· Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
· Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
· Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
· Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
· Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
· Provides technical support to project managers.
· Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
· Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
· Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders.
· Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
Safety Professional Duties :
· Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel, all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction.
· Coordinate and conduct I-Audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practices.
· Document and communicate site visit information.
· Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.
· Provide Safety Manager with weekly schedule.
· Audit training records (ET&D 10-hour, 20 hour, CPR, etc.) and inform operations who needs training.
· Audit Vector for accuracy of incident, accident, reporting etc.
· Work with operations on scheduling NHO and other additional training.
· Review all programs, policies and procedures for continuous improvements.
· Receive, review and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports.
· Participate with the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and kick off meetings.
· Review client specific requirements and determine that we are in alignment.
Safety Professional Qualifications / Skills:
· Risk assessment/management

· EPC industry experience
· Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred
· 3 years experience as a Safety Professional - MINIMUM
· CUSP Cert (California Utility Safety Person) – REQUIRED
· Claims management experience - PREFERRED
· Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards plus familiarity with DOE 10 CFR Part 851 highly desirable
