Job Description
Position Title: Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) ****

Basic Function :
Under the supervision of the Director of Programs & Quality and in accordance with established agency policies and procedures, principles of normalization and inclusion, licensure standards and PL 2-137, the Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) serves as the primary advocate for each individual served and assumes primary responsibility for the services and supports provided. The incumbent is also responsible for the overall management, supervision and operation of each assigned residence and for the direct supervision of the Program Manager(s).
Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in a human services field of study, previous experience working in a residential setting, and a minimum of three years supervisory experience. Incumbent must also have a valid local driver's license, three years driving experience and an acceptable driving record, in accordance with My Own Place Driving Policy and must, upon offer of employment, provide a medical statement certifying absence of communicable disease. The incumbent will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation.

· Must provide an annual medical statement completed by a licensed physician stating the employee is free of communicable disease
and which provides results of PPD or chest x-ray.
· Must attend meetings and successfully complete all mandatory training sessions during varied hours.
· Must be able to navigate steps and lift at least thirty pounds
· OSHA Classification I.
· On call 24 hours.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work a varied schedule which may include evenings and weekends.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work without close supervision and exercise good judgment.
· Responds to cell phone calls at all times within thirty minutes
