Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Complete mental health assessments to determine eligibility for services and identify areas of need.
Develop service plans based on assessments and in collaboration with the individual and/or their family.
Provide linkage to, coordination, and monitoring of needed services and supports; may also provide client advocacy to provide needed resources or services, while empowering them to be as independent as possible. Document progress toward meeting service plan goals and outcomes, and client and/or family satisfaction. Prepare and maintain documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal guidelines and regulations; comply with privacy and reporting requirements.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a Human Services-Related field that meets the required trainee status.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certifications or can obtain certifications within 90 days from the date of hire and maintain them as a condition of employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
