    Qualified Mental Health Specialist - Intensive Home-Based Therapy

    Lifefocus Solutions is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Specialist to join our Intensive Home-Based Therapy Team. The individual will provide supportive services to youth and families, working as a team with a licensed IHBT therapist.

    Position Summary

    Provide supportive services to children, adolescents, and their families in the home, school, and community setting. The QMHS will support youth and families by teaching coping skills and life skills, as outlined on the treatment plan established with family and therapist. The IHBT team uses evidenced based approaches building on family strengths and focusing on resiliency. The QMHS will work collaboratively with IHBT therapist to provide intensive services for a caseload of 10-12 families. Services will primarily be in the client’s homes/community based.

    Continuing Education

    Paid training in Evidence-Based and Trauma-Informed Practices is provided

    Minimum Qualifications

    You have an active Driver’s License with proof of car insurance

    High School Diploma/GED with minimum of three years’ experience, or Associate/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience in children's behavioral health, child welfare, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, or a related public sector human services or behavioral health care field, providing community-based services to children and youth, and their family or caregivers.

    Have a background and experience in one or more of the following areas of expertise: family systems, community systems and resources, case management, child and family counseling or therapy, child protection, or child development.

    Be culturally competent or responsive with training and experience necessary to manage complex cases.

    Have the qualifications and experience needed to work with children and families who are experiencing SED, trauma, co-occurring behavioral health disorders and who are engaged with one or more child-serving systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, education).

    Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Word and Electronic Health Record (EHR).

    Willingness to travel for various reasons, including to client’s homes, school, and community locations. Ability to visit clients’ homes (may or may not be handicapped accessible).

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organization/time management skills.

    Required License: Ohio Counselor, Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapist Board Licensure Required Education: Master’s Degree
