Are you an organized and responsible professional with experience overseeing railway construction projects? Advanced Railway Innovations is seeking a dedicated Qualified Protective Person or a Liaison to coordinate construction activities and facilitate communication between contractors and TriMet in Portland, Oregon. This role offers flexible hours—ranging from part-time to full-time depending on the season—to support critical phases of railway development and maintenance. You will serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth operations on the right of way.
Responsibilities:
Act as the main liaison between contractors and TriMet, ensuring clear communication and coordination
Oversee daily work activities on-site, maintaining safety and quality standards
Address and resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and operational protocols
Provide advanced warning for work crews to vacate the work zone to allow trains to pass by
Requirements:
Prefer someone to have experience being around railroad construction
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must be willing and able work on your feet for long periods of time
Must be willing to work days, nights, and possibly weekend
Must Have Reliable Transportation (may be required to drive to different job sites)

Compensation package:

Pay Rate $35-40 per hour
Schedule:
8-12 hour shift
Days, and Nights Shift
Monday to Friday typically occasionally weekends as needed.
Overtime as needed
Travel requirement:
No long distance travel

Along TriMet Train Tracks MUST HAVE TRANSPORTATION
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
TriMet RWP Training (Preferred)
TriMet QPP Training (Preferred)
Experience:
prefer someone who has experience working around the railroad, but not required.
License/Certification:
Oregon Drivers License (Required)
