    The Recruiter will partner with operational managers, coaches and supervisors to provide full life cycle recruiting and onboarding support to the business. The selected individual will build and grow strong business relationships and an in-depth understanding of the positions within the business to deliver great talent into open requisitions.

    In this position, we are looking for a recruiter/HR generalist in the Goldsboro, NC area. This person will be recruiting and handling multiple manufacturing reqs at a time, as well as other entry-level positions, and eventually possible C-suite level positions. This individual will eventually move to more of an HR generalist role (Payroll, drug screens, admin work). The key qualification required is a recruiter that has experience recruiting hourly employees in manufacturing.

    Primary Responsibilities/Qualifications:

    • Responsible for filling staffing needs on assigned requisitions including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, pre-employment screening and onboarding of the individuals hired.
    • Actively sources candidates including participating in job fairs, local college/university recruitment, and social media recruiting as well as using creative approaches to go find talent in the local community.
    • Partners with hiring managers to ensure effective and appropriate interviewing and selection is utilized when selecting applicants for hire.
    • Engages applicants in a friendly and professional manner consistent with AP Emissions values; provide support to walk-in, electronic and telephone candidates. Ensures each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with our organization.
    • Serves as a local resource to candidates; understand, communicate, and answer candidate questions as they transition and orient as new employees
    • Manages and organizes a high-volume work load while multitasking effectively and confidentially.
    • Provides meaningful tracking on workforce planning and status of open requisitions.
    • Partners with managers on intern and/or apprenticeship programs to promote knowledge transfer of critical business roles.
    • At least 3 years of experience recruiting hourly positions in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required. Demonstrates a solid understanding of manufacturing types of roles, qualifications and credentials.
    • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Has a strong understanding of hiring laws and talent acquisition best practices.
    • Has a thorough understanding of equal opportunity employment practices and laws and regulations pertaining to background screening assessment and disposition.
    • Experience developing and delivering training curriculum and content is desired.
    • Proven ability to role model company values and the highest level of ethics and integrity. Maintains a positive and respectful attitude at all times.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop supervisors and hiring managers in the areas of interviewing and selection.
    • Possesses strong computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and standard computer skills. Has advanced knowledge of social media recruitment including using tools such as Indeed, Linked In and other online job boards.
