What You Get To Do:
The Quality Assurance Engineer supports all quality-related activities of the quality assurance department to ensure quality control and quality assurance of all manufactured and purchased products to achieve product excellence, continuous process improvement, and customer satisfaction. This position will lead the quality efforts and will support inspection, documentation control, and assist with validation of new products.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will also monitor and test the quality of incoming and outgoing products, establish and/ or develop inspection standards and ensure that each is met. This position will also identify issues, recommend solutions and create quality documentation.
This position requires collaborative work with various departments including Product, Engineering, Production, Sales.
Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:
Analyze new products prior to release and identify critical inspection areas as well as high risk reliability and safety issues
Develop inspection testing plans, long term reliability testing plans, and accelerated lifetime testing plans
Develop, establish, implement processes to enhance quality assurance to defined requirements
Perform forensic inspections of failed field products
Interact and collaborate well with members of other departments to improve quality methods and system processes which will result in a positive influence and impact on the overall quality of our products and services
Assist Manufacturing Engineering team with work instruction development and check do check processes
Develop and manage metrics gathering systems for vendor performance, internal manufacturing performance, and product field failures
Validate QA inspection technician activities through periodic audits
Initiate authority to stop a process, production for errors, safety and/or to ensure compliance with process
Support training of fellow team members as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned or requested

Additional machinery and tooling requirements may be required at any point in time upon introduction to the Quality department to coincide with industry and manufacturing progression. It is beneficial and preferred for the employee to have had experience with the machinery and equipment but is not required.
