The UAT Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for the hands-on execution of UAT test cases, defect tracking, and release validation for the Insurance business such as Qualified Health Plan (QHP) and Medicaid experience. This role requires technical expertise in test automation, system integration and data validation. The UAT Senior Test Analyst will work closely with business teams, developers, and vendors to ensure successful test execution.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and experience in enterprise-level UAT environments.
Responsibilities
Planning & Execution Test
Design and execute UAT test cases, regression test suites, and integration test scenarios.
Develop automated test scripts for API, UI, and data validation testing.
Execute SQL queries for backend validation and data integrity checks.
Ensure test execution aligns with business workflows and user personas.
Able to understand the integrations and do thorough testing. Be flexible to move around the teams like Account Transfer and understand the API testing.
Perform defect tracking and reporting using tools like JIRA or Excel
Knowledge of Performance Testing and security testing. Be prepared to do this testing whenever a need arises
Implement Metrics which can draw the trend and health /quality of the product
Good Communications / Analytical skills to run the meetings, prepare presentations on the status to present to the stakeholders.
Defect Management & Coordination
Identify, document, and categorize functional and technical defects.
Work with developers, architects, and business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in defect triage and impact analysis sessions.
Release & Environment Coordination
Support the setup and maintenance of UAT environments.
Conduct pre-release and post-release validation for production deployments.
Collaborate with the Release Management team to ensure smooth go-live transitions.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Recommend improvements to testing frameworks and automation strategies.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and PII security standards.
Maintain detailed test documentation and evidence for audits and regulatory reporting.
Automation knowledge is good to have.
Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in UAT, software testing, or QA.
Experience with test automation, API testing, and SQL-based validation.
Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, or ReadyAPI.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience working in multi-stakeholder and vendor-managed environments.
Experience working in Insurance company such as Blue cross, Anthem Health care especially handling the Affordable Care Act (ACA) – 834 transactions between state agencies and Insurance companies.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and UAT governance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Certifications in ISTQB, or CSM is good to have
· Experience with CMS integrations and requirements.
· Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Tosca, or Cypress).
· Experience with state health insurance Exchanges, the federal Exchange.
· Understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the individual market, including federal and state health insurance policies and programs.
· Experience working in and/or with governmental agencies.
