Pro Found Recruiting is representing a confidential food manufacturing client seeking a Quality & Food Safety Manager for a plant-level leadership role in Lincoln, Nebraska.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys building teams, strengthening food safety culture, and becoming a key leader within a manufacturing site. The company has quality talent in place, but needs a manager who can raise the standard, develop people, and create stronger alignment between FSQA and operations.

This role is not limited to maintaining existing systems. The right person will be expected to lead, coach, influence, and help the site continue improving.

    What You Will Do

    • Lead the site food safety and quality function

    • Develop FSQA supervisors and technical team members

    • Strengthen food safety culture across the plant

    • Lead and support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits

    • Partner with operations, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse leadership

    • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions

    • Improve quality systems, documentation, training, and audit readiness

    • Use data, KPIs, internal audits, and production trends to identify opportunities

    • Serve as a visible leader who can communicate clearly and drive accountability

    What We Are Looking For

    • >5+ years of Food safety or quality leadership experience in food manufacturing

    • Experience leading and developing supervisors, leads, or technical team members

    • Strong audit background, ideally with SQF, BRC, or another GFSI program

    • USDA experience is preferred, but FDA-regulated food manufacturing experience will also be considered

    • HACCP or PCQI certification is preferred

    • Strong understanding of food safety systems, sanitation, CAPA, and regulatory requirements

    • Ability to work cross-functionally with production and plant leadership

    • Hands-on leadership style with the confidence to set direction and follow through

    Ideal Fit

The strongest candidate will be someone who has led FSQA within a manufacturing plant and enjoys developing people, not only managing programs.

This role could be a strong fit for a current Quality Manager, FSQA Manager, Food Safety Manager, or a high-performing senior quality leader ready to take on broader site leadership. The client is open to different food manufacturing backgrounds as long as the person brings strong leadership, audit experience, and the ability to earn credibility on the floor.

This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact, build bench strength, and help drive food safety performance across a growing manufacturing site.
