The QC Inspector position is responsible for inspections against the internal quality system (QMS), customer requirements, and industry standards. The QC Inspector is also responsible for inspecting raw material, inspecting finished products, internal process audits, and ensuring general customer satisfaction. Candidates must pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
Responsibility:
Use of precision tooling and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, coating thickness gauges, rulers, tape measures, stamping dies, extensometers, and many more.
Writing and filling out QC reports and digital data entry.
Use of MS office and internal digital programs.
Perform First Article Inspection reports and communicate efficiently on the results of FAI.
Read and interpret engineered drawings.
Use GD&T to perform product evaluations.
Inspect engineered drawings and determine if a product is within tolerance.
Issue NCR’s against any raw material, process, or finished good product that’s not within the required specifications.
Will need to read and understand industry standards such as ASTM, ANSI, API, and ISO.
Ensure the achievement of quality objectives of the department.
Ensure 5S activities and their guidelines are adhered to.
Effectively communicate with peers, management, and customers.
Experience and requirements:
Must have at least a High School Diploma.
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in an industrial setting.
Use of precision measuring devices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes of quality issues.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other teams.
Willingness to learn.
Candidates must pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
An ideal candidate will also have:
Experience with ISO 9001.
Read engineered drawings.
Proficient with MS Office.
Can read, understand, and interpret industry standards. Can write SOP’s, JHA’s, and procedures.
