Quality Control Inspector Elgin, IL
Currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to fill an opening with a metal stamping company in Elgin, IL. Interested candidates should have at least one year of quality control inspection experience in manufacturing. More than one year of experience will be strongly considered.
Responsibilities of the Quality Control Inspector
- Be responsible to measure parts using GD&T if necessary and to use metrology such as Vernier calipers, micrometers and gages
- Be able to inspect parts per print including work-in-process and finished goods
- Review and follow quality control plans and participate in testing for parts including non-conforming parts for review by the MRB Material Review Board
- Be on the shop floor and in the lab to review materials, dimensions and other specifications to verify conformance to customer requirements
- Be trained for and be responsible for maintaining and cleaning the tools of metrology such as height gages, calipers, go/no go gages, optical comparators, CMM Coordinate Measuring Machines and other equipment
- Assist with the development of quality inspection plans such as for first piece, in-process and last piece inspections
- Be trained to if necessary and apply your knowledge to assist with the development of PFMEA's and Quality Control Plans
- Meticulously focus maintaining quality documentation
Requirements of the Quality Control Inspector
- At least one year of quality inspection experience in manufacturing
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus
- High School Diploma
Compensation for the Quality Control Inspector
The targeted annual base salary for this first shift position ranges from $23.00 to $33.00 per hour depending on experience and is temp to perm or contract to hire
