Position Title: Quality Control Inspector

**About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and safety‑focused Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support our underground (UG) construction operations. The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all work performed in the field meets contract specifications, industry standards, safety requirements, and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of underground construction work, including trenching, conduit installation, cable placement, backfill, and restoration activities.
• Verify that all work complies with project specifications, engineering prints, and regulatory requirements.
• Document inspection findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions through detailed reports and photos.
• Work closely with field crews to ensure proper installation methods and quality procedures are followed.
• Monitor jobsite safety practices and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Assist in pre-construction meetings, jobsite audits, and quality-related training as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues in the field.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in underground utility, telecom, or construction QC preferred.
• Strong understanding of UG construction techniques, materials, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, prints, and job specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with crews and management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Willingness to travel between job sites daily.
