Position Summary
VSE Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Management Consultant (Quality Control) to be onsite in Warsaw, Indiana lead consulting and guidance for plant quality operations. Management Consultant (Quality Control) is responsible for providing feedback, assess gaps in planning, and supporting all aspects of the quality Control Process and System being developed at the plant. Supporting key performance objectives and assisting with organizing / documenting control standards. The selected individual will have broad experience managing cross-functionally across the automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a high-energy, hands-on professional with strength of conviction and unquestioned integrity. The ideal candidate is a self-confident leader who, through personal presence and effective communication, deploy quality methods and drives disciplined processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Operations & Compliance
• Supporting the certification of vehicles, water validation, BSR (buzz, squeak and rattle) validation, and quality gate (QVS) process.
• Assessing compliance to standards for critical vehicle-level functional objectives, performance standards, and processes (HLA, Alignment, Water Test, Rolls, Evac/Fill, Electrical Tests).
• Assessing vehicle and safety regulation processes for mandated product feature and torque inspections.
• Standardize inspection checklists and methods across all relevant operations.
• Conduct evaluations of critical Yard Hold/Campaign activities to ensure vehicle quality, mitigation of risks, and prompt release of units.
• Monitor the VOC Process - production conformity through Vehicle (VOC) testing.
Manufacturing / WCM, and Quality Experience
Quality reviews of internal and external indicators including warranty, VOC audits, first time capability, and JD Power
Coaching and teaching of WCM Quality tools to properly diagnose the quality gaps and ensure robust countermeasures were implemented to avoid repeat conditions
Utilizing TWTTP/HERCA , QAN Heat Map and talking to your various VOTC points to contain an emerging issues
Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration and drive continuous improvement.
Management of non-conforming material processes (MRB — Material Review Board, disposition, quarantine)
Containment and corrective action for internal defects, customer escapes, and supplier quality issues
Support continuous improvement (CI) activities through WCM pillars — Quality Pillar, Cost Deployment, FI (Focused Improvement)
Maintain and update Control Plans and PFMEAs as processes evolve
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; Associate’s degree considered with strong hands-on experience
• 10+ years of plant quality-related experience in an automotive or supplier manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of WCM methodology and pillars (Safety, Quality, Logistics, Cost Deployment, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, from high-level executive meetings to the shop floor.
• Demonstrated planning and deployment of quality control / inspection methods
• Self-motivated and directed; ability to thrive in a high-intensity, multi-project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Highly skilled / experienced world-class manufacturing principles: Lean manufacturing, standard work, visual management, 5S, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and waste elimination
• Skills / Knowledge in data analysis / statistics and their application in quality management.
• Experience with JD Power, warranty analytics, and customer satisfaction indicators.
