Job Description: Quality Control Manager
Reporting To: Project Manager
SolTerra's Quality Control Manager will provide project management and oversite on an FHWA project in the Island Park, ID. Responsibilities will include submittal tracking, construction inspection, specification compliance, and documentation/reporting. Applicants must possess a current driver’s license, clean driving record, be able to work outdoors, and capable carrying up to 60 pounds. Extended overnight travel is required and will include daily per diem. A degree of professionalism is expected as this position works directly with clients, engineers, and Federal representatives. This position is Full-Time Seasonal.
Job Responsibilities
Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings, testing standards and technical specifications based on individual project requirements
Correspond and schedule meetings with clients, staff, local agencies, etc. as needed to complete work as timely and as accurately as possible
Track, report and file all submittals necessary for specification compliance throughout the project
Preform construction and materials inspections daily and distribute findings in an accurate and timely manner
When appropriate/needed, perform materials testing and ensure project testing reports are complete, accurate, distributed and filed correctly
Closely monitor and report on daily work being completed to ensure compliance with project specifications
Participate in a healthy work environment that promotes accuracy and accountability through proactive communication with project managers and clients
Adhere to company policies and procedures described in the Employee Handbook

Minimum Requirements
Education/Experience (Required):
Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited program with 1 years of highway construction experience
1 year managing QC on similar highway projects
2 years as a PM/Superintendent, or 3 years as an engineer/inspector/foreman, or NICET Level III (or equivalent)
The QCM is required to have performed work on federal highway projects with references from these projects
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Required)
