Quality Control NVH Technician- (All Shift)
** Position Summary
**
We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Powertrain Engineer, NVH to specialize in powertrain NVH at a component and system level. NVH stands for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness.
Candidates will need a broad engineering awareness, ideally experienced in powertrain noise and vibration. A successful candidate will be involved in everything from continuous improvement and optimization of current products, through to design and development of future powertrain programs. You will need to be focused on delivering excellent performance to our customers, strong self-starters, team collaborators, excellent problem solvers, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The role will serve the operations of Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe).
** Essential Functions
**¨NBSP;(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Working within a skilled and versatile team, you will support NVH target setting and work to ensure attribute performance meets targets at a component and powertrain level
Develop methods to control the sources of structural and/or airborne noises from rotating components such as electric motors, pumps, and fans
Perform component and system level attribute testing on powertrain dynamometers and test fixtures, and correlate system and component behavior to powertrain and vehicle performance
Develop innovative technical concepts to achieve NVH targets while meeting those of cost, packaging, and mass production
Lead problem solving investigations to resolve durability and NVH concerns.
Mentoring and training all things NVH
Collaborate with industry experts
Develop and implement new design process methodologies and analytical tools
Develop and implement systems to ensure products are produced to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
Participate in the change management process to ensure the products continue to meet customer requirements.
Assist management with the development and revision of quality programs.
Assist in defining/developing quality program status indicators, performance measurements, and reporting requirements.
Assists with implementing inspection plans, FTTQ, In-process, final inspection, sampling, and inspection acceptance criteria.
Apply problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving all quality issues.
Irregular quality training for workers (process failure cases, improvement measures, etc.)
All other duties as assigned

** Required Education & Experience
**
Bachelor of Science / Engineering
3+ years quality control in a manufacturing setting
5+ years of experience with Noise, Vibration, Harshness (NVH) and dynamometers
Self-directed, excellent people and communication skills
** Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
**
Must be goal-oriented, customer-focused, and results-driven
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
Proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
** Preferred Education & Experience
**
Master's degree is preferred with a strong preference in quality, electronic, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering area
8+ years of NVH and dyna experience

**Working Conditions
**: Incumbent spends less than 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor
Salary info:
$27 - $33 / hr
