    Primary Responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications for this position are:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent science degree preferred

    - 2 years of relevant experience in a QC Lab environment preferred

    - Proficiency in wet chemistry applications

    Ideal Skills for this position would include:

    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization

    - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel being main area of focus)

    - Able to work in a manufacturing-based Team environment

    - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    - Organizational skills – Record keeping


    Primary Responsibilities for Lab Technician are:

    1. Maintenance of Master Control Files:

    a. Specifications for Bulk Production Batches

    b. Specifications for Raw Materials

    c. Specifications for Finished Goods (Items)

    2. Testing in-process bulk production batches:

    a. Carry out testing via the specifications

    b. Calculate adjustments for out-of-spec batches

    c. Approve/release bulk batches for packaging

    d. Record and maintain testing data for review/analysis

    e. Maintain product standards

    f. Maintain production batch records

    g. Maintain production product retains

    3. Testing Raw Materials:

    a. Carry out testing via the raw material specifications

    b. Approve/release in-coming materials for batch compounding

    c. Record and maintain testing data for review/analysis

    d. Maintain raw material standards

    4. Audit Packaging Operation:

    a. Ensure compliance to requirements as per the Production Packaging Ticket, (fill weights, torques, labeling, etc.)

    b. Maintain Item specifications

    c. Maintain Item standards

    d. Maintain Production Packaging records

    e. Maintain Item retains

    5. Batch Ticket Issuance

    a. Issue Batch Tickets as per scheduling requirements to the batching dept.

    b. Maintain records of batch ticket issuance

    6. Maintain Lab Environment in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices

    a. Maintain complete and accurate records

    b. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and calibrated

    c. Keep lab area clean and orderly

    d. Maintain lab reagents

    e. Maintain lab area and work in accordance with safe lab practices

    7. Special Projects as Assigned such as:

    - method validations and method development

    - participation w/ customers in new product transfers, plant starts, etc.


    The QC Technician is expected to maintain a good working relationship with personnel in all functional areas of the company. This position is required to abide by all departmental procedures and company policies and rules.

    The QC Technician position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

    Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Thurs 10 hour shift (2nd shift)

    Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
