    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Control / Safety, Health & Environmental (QC/SHE) Manager to support a critical facilities and infrastructure contract at Edwards Air Force Base, CA in support of NASA operations. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance, safety compliance, and environmental health programs across facility and hangar operations.

    The QC/SHE Manager ensures all work performed meets contractual quality standards, complies with federal safety regulations (including 29 CFR 1910), and aligns with ISO 9001 quality management systems. This individual will lead hazard identification and mitigation efforts, enforce safety protocols, and ensure continuous improvement across maintenance and operational activities involving industrial aircraft facilities and equipment.

    This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong technical knowledge, the ability to interpret complex engineering documentation, and experience operating in highly regulated environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage all quality control, safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs for facility and hangar operations.
    • Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, specifically 29 CFR 1910, and all applicable federal, state, and contract-specific safety regulations.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
    • Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure adherence to quality and safety requirements.
    • Identify, evaluate, prevent, and eliminate workplace safety and health hazards across all operations.
    • Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
    • Review and validate work performed on industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
    • Interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals to support quality and safety oversight.
    • Coordinate with project managers, maintenance teams, and government stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality and safety expectations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance records required by contract and regulatory agencies.
    • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the workforce.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in quality, safety, and health management supporting facility and hangar operations and maintenance of industrial equipment within an industrial aircraft environment.
    • Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, including 29 CFR 1910.
    • Proven experience identifying, preventing, and eliminating safety and health hazards in operational environments.
    • Direct experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 quality management systems.
    • Strong ability to read and interpret building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance repair manuals.
    • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices, environmental regulations, and quality assurance methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a high-tempo environment.

    Location & Clearance Requirements:

    • Location: Edwards Air Force Base, California
    • Must be eligible to work on a federal installation (background check required; clearance may be required based on contract needs)

    Location & Compensation:

    • Edwards AFB, Edwards CA
    • Pay: $120,000 - $140,00 DOE
    • Benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) match.
