  • Responsibilities

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Reports to: Production Supervisor

    The purpose of this position is to process and assign a value to all "Miscel" (miscellaneous) items and then roll to the sales floor and merchandise appropriately in the department.

    Responsibilities and duties:

    • Inspects donated items to determine if they are sellable
    • Trashes or recycles items that are not deemed sellable
    • Uses condition and quality assessments to assign a value
    • Creates a price tag in the tablet system based upon quality, condition, brand, seasonality and trends
    • Rolls items from the production room to the sales floor multiple times daily
    • Maintains a clean and organized work station
    • Regularly meets the production goals of the position as outlined by the company
    • Follows all safety guidelines and procedures
    • Provides friendly and courteous service in all interactions with customers

    Required Skills and Abilities

    • Must be able to read, write and communicate with other team members
    • Must demonstrate an attention to detail and keep records as required
    • Good eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, price and put out.

    Physical Requirements

    • Lifting and carrying 20 lbs.
    • Reaching overhead 20% of time
    • Pushing and pulling 4-6 lbs. of force (to push/pull up to 100 lbs. rolling rack)
    • Pushing and pulling 50% of time
    • Standing 100% of time
    • Repetitive use of hands 70% of time
    • Bending and crouching 20% of time
    • Grasping items with hands 100% of time

    Working Conditions:

    • Exposure to periodic temperature fluctuations
    • Exposure to dust
    • Flexibility with schedule based up store needs and sale days
    • May be required to perform in an alternate role at the request of the supervisor

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences.
