    We're hiring a Quality Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dayton-Granger is a privately owned, third-generation manufacturer with over 82 years in business and an average employee tenure of 10 years. We support long-term aerospace programs for military, commercial, and general aviation customers, while continuing to develop new products for emerging markets.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field

    • 4+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment

    • Strong analytical and statistical skills to collect, synthesize, and evaluate data

    • Hands-on experience with inspection tools (CMMs, micrometers, calipers)

    • Proficiency with root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, etc.)

    • Experience with sampling plans (attribute, variable, sequential)

    • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards

    • Proven ability to coordinate MRB activities and support internal audits

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma certification

    • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing industries

    • Knowledge of FAA or EASA compliance requirements

    • Experience leading FMEA activities and establishing quality KPIs

    • Ability to mentor and train others on quality tools and processes

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide quality engineering support to manufacturing, ensuring consistent quality practices

    • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions

    • Analyze inspection results and recommend process improvements

    • Develop and manage sampling plans and measurement system analysis (MSA)

    • Coordinate and lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities

    • Participate in Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings to assess design and process changes

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints

    • Maintain quality documentation in accordance with DG's QMS and AS9100

    • Support audit activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

    • Follow all safety procedures and perform additional duties as assigned
