Quality Engineer

St. Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $85k - 100k

Konik is partnering with a local contract manufacturer who is seeking a driven Quality Engineer to support product development and manufacturing excellence. In this role, you’ll lead part validation, qualification, and sustaining program support while serving as a key resource for customer quality concerns. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure processes, products, and documentation consistently meet the highest standards.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and modified programs.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and inspection instructions.
• Manage validation activities for purchased components and materials.
• Implement early containment and pre-launch quality activities.
• Support CAPAs, SCARs, RMAs, and ongoing quality improvements.
• Provide guidance and training on quality systems and requirements.
• Issue quality alerts and validation protocols as needed.
• Act as primary contact for assigned customer quality issues, including on-site support when required.

Quality Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, and SPC methods.
• Experience with ISO9001, ISO13485, or FDA-regulated environments preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor or similar) a plus.
• Strong skills in print reading, GD&T, cGMP/GDP, and cosmetic specifications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong written/verbal communication and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with change control, documentation, and revision management.
