Description
•Oversee customer complaints, corrective actions, nonconforming product, and supplier quality systems
•Support inspection activities, PPAP, rework, and ISO initiatives
•Work in a professional office with frequent interaction on the manufacturing floor
•Travel to customers, suppliers, or training as required
•Ensure proper use of PPE in manufacturing areas
•Professionally engage customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues
•Collaborate with production to improve quality and productivity
•Serve as a member of the Management Team
•Act as first response to customer concerns and complaints
•Interface with customer facilities to resolve quality issues
•Document and respond to customer corrective action requests
•Participate in and support customer audits
•Lead corrective action and global problem-solving activities
•Conduct quality meetings and drive continuous improvement actions
•Track and close corrective actions in a timely manner
•Oversee nonconforming material processes
•Participate on the Material Review Board
•Determine disposition and rework methods for nonconforming material
•Process rework and scrap through Vantage
•Review and approve reworked product
•Coordinate with rework department on standards, training, and Resec programming
•Authorize internal and external labor for rework
•Issue internal deviations and product release authorizations
•Resolve measurement discrepancies and gage issues
•Interpret prints and resolve dimensional questions across departments
•Interface with suppliers on quality issues and corrective actions
•Document supplier debits, returns, and raw material returns
•Perform supplier audits
•Complete FMEA, control plans, and flow charts for PPAP
•Assist with PPAP submissions and approvals
•Create and update operator log sheets, SPC programs, setup and final inspection sheets
•Program inspection equipment including Oasis, Resec, Formscan, and Talyrond
•Train and support Quality Assurance Technicians
•Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as needed
•Conduct and document capability studies and Gage R&R
•Support ISO 9001 system development and maintenance
•Perform ISO internal audits
•Prepare outgoing Certificates of Compliance
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field or equivalent experience
•CQA and/or CQE certification preferred
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of SPC and capability studies
•Minimum three years preferred experience with SPC, DOE, CPK, quality systems, audits, and ISO 9001
•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
•Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
•Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
