Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update calibration system which includes sending measuring tools due for calibration to an outside lab, as well as performing in-house calibration of specific tools.
Maintain and conduct AS9100 system internal audits and reviews.
Create and review all inspection reports and travelers.
Conducts tests, inspections, audits and validations to accept in-process production, finished products, and incoming products by confirming adherence to specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Perform first article and in-process inspection in Machine Shop.
Determine if the lot is within the specification range for each physical test.
Document results as part of the Quality product release process.
Perform receiving inspection (Purchased parts and Raw Material), in-process inspection (both internal and external parts), and final inspection (assemblies, sub-assemblies, and/or final skids).
Perform visual inspection including but not limited to:
Pay is based on experience
Hiring for both Shifts. First Shift 6.30 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday, Saturdays and OT available. Second Shift 3.00 pm to 1.30 am Monday to Thursday, 4 10 hour days 40 hours a week, OT available.
Raw material inspection Receiving inspection, outside process Assembly inspection
Maintain inspection tools and working area in a clean safe and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Calibration of equipment such as but not limited to, Calipers, Micrometers, and Depth Gauges.
Other tasks as listed but not limited
Experience and Skills Required
Ability to do independent first piece inspection on machined parts and assemblies is required.
Ability to read blueprints is required.
Ability to work with and calibrate hand measuring equipment independently is required. (IE, Height Gauge, Calipers, Micrometers, Thread Gauges).
Familiarity with Optical Comparator.
Computer skills are a must (Microsoft Word/Excel).
Familiarity with CMM inspection, PCDMIS and Mitutoyo.
Education Required
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
3 years Manufacturing/Quality Experience
