Responsibilities:-

Perform dimensional and visual inspection of precision machined parts with tolerances typically ±0.001”

Conduct receiving inspection and in-process inspection using metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height gauge/surface plate)

Perform visual inspection of PCBs and PCB assemblies for workmanship and damage

Follow ESD-safe handling procedures during electronics inspections

Complete inspection documentation and detailed inspection reports

Support non-conformance reporting and follow-up actions when defects are identified

Additional duties may include stockroom tasks such as receiving, kitting, and bin audits

Position requires full-time onsite presence in Berkeley, CA and local candidates preferred due to project duration.

Technical Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in precision Machined Parts & PCBA Inspection

Precision machining / aerospace / semiconductor / advanced electronics manufacturing

PCB / PCBA manufacturing or electronics inspection

Preferred Certifications: IPC-A-610 (preferred – ideally Class 2 or Class 3 experience) Metrology / inspection training preferred

Hands-on inspection experience with precision machined components

Experience measuring tight tolerances (<0.001”)

Strong knowledge of metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and height gauges/surface plate

Experience with PCB / PCBA visual inspection

Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures

Ability to complete inspection reports and documentation

Experience handling non-conformance reporting (NCR) and follow-up actions
