    Position Overview:
    Dayton-Granger, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you'll perform inspections on in-process and finished assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards. Using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, you'll verify critical dimensions, review blueprints and engineering changes, and maintain accurate inspection records. Your attention to detail will directly contribute to the production of advanced avionics products for commercial, general aviation, and military programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect in-process and final assemblies for quality and conformance
    • Use calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
    • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
    • Record inspection results and identify nonconforming parts
    • Follow and uphold quality procedures and applicable standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
    • Performs additional tasks assigned by management
    • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment
    • Willingness to learn and cross train
    • Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, scale, height gauges, or other measuring Instruments
    • Familiarity with ERP systems
    • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs
    • Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

    Highly Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in highly regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices, etc.).
    • Inspection or hands-on experience with one or more of the following manufacturing processes:

    a) Electrical or electromechanical assemblies (including soldered components)

    b) Paint or surface finishing

    c) Composite materials and structures

    d) Mechanical assemblies or machined components

    • Previous experience in aerospace
