Quality Inspector | First Shift, Direct Hire | Woodlawn, OH
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. You will utilize various measuring tools and techniques to analyze product specifications, contributing to our commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to assess product dimensions and tolerances.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on findings, including any non-conformance issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations throughout the production process.
- Maintain documentation related to quality control processes in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Participate in internal audits of quality systems and assist in the development of quality assurance protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs and instructions
- Check parts to drawings and specs using tooling and gauges (calipers and micrometers) as needed
- Log all inspected activity into computerized production management system (we use JobBoss)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards.
- Familiarity with CGMP regulations and FDA compliance requirements is preferred.
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers for product analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence in decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and collaboration.
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail and ability to measure and visual checks for accuracy, flatness and angles from orders/blueprints
- Have knowledge of how metal parts are made and fit together
- Have knowledge of metrology, dimensional studies
- Have a working knowledge of how material certifications and compliances are assembled and provided to a customer as needed.
- Have performed PPAP procedures
- Have recent job shop experience
