    Job Summary:

    The Quality Inspector plays a key role in supporting the Quality Manager and ensuring adherence to Midstate Spring's Quality Management System. This position is primarily responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections, monitoring quality throughout the production process, and accurately documenting inspection results. The Inspector helps identify and communicate process trends, supports lot control and traceability, and ensures that products meet internal and customer specifications. This role contributes to defect prevention, operational consistency, and overall product quality, while offering hands-on experience in precision spring manufacturing and the opportunity to directly support customer satisfaction and compliance.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Gather, record, and plot Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to monitor production quality trends.
    • Document, track, and support the resolution of internal and external quality issues.
    • Conduct root cause investigations and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
    • Conduct 100% inspection, sorting, and packaging of parts as required to meet customer quality standards.
    • Create and maintain ISO documentation and support audit processes.
    • Perform part inspections as assigned to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Complete compliance requests from customers.
    • Maintain general housekeeping standards within the quality work area and assist in other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office, email composition and other communication/collaborative tools.
    • Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.

    Education and Experience:

    • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
    • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
