Position Summary:
The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for the routine and non-complex sampling, testing, measuring, and recording of quality results to produce reliable and precise data to ensure optimal quality and compliance with internal quality requirements and customer standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
Collect or receive, as well as process, product samples as scheduled or required to maintain delivery.
Calculate test results, enter, log, and report results using a computer for documentation and reporting.
Prepare and supervise experiments as a representative of the Quality Department when assigned.
Perform Quality control procedures and calibrate equipment as required.
Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain good 5S for the work area.
Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
Collaborate with the Operations team on Quality Standards, Product Standards, and test results to meet or exceed customer expectations.
They will communicate fully with their manager or lead team members when issues or concerns arise regarding the scope of their duties.
Be flexible and capable when called upon to address quality issues or maintain operations based on circumstances beyond the normal scope of duties.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following skills and education to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The incumbent must learn and understand quality standards and customer expectations. Understanding who their customer is internally as well as externally to our company.
The incumbent shall have at a minimum a high school education represented by a Diploma or GED certification. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is preferred.
The incumbent shall have a minimum of 1-2 years working in a Lab or Quality Testing facility.
The incumbent should have excellent computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other relevant computer programs is required.
The incumbent shall adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.
The incumbent shall be capable of working in an analytical and numerical environment. The individual must possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations, (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measure. The individual should be competent and understand fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios.
The incumbent shall have strong attention to detail as well as superior organizational skills.
The incumbent shall have the ability to correspondent and report electronically through electronic tools.
The incumbent should maintain ethical behavior with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness in the position.
The incumbent must be able to lift 40 lbs.
The incumbent must be able to climb ladders and stairs to monitor and maintain equipment.
The incumbent shall be able to perform physically demanding work such as, but not limited to moving and lifting of equipment, product or standing for long periods of time.
