    Axillon Aerospace is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Quality Technician to join our Composites Department at our Rockmart facility. As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of aerospace components by conducting thorough inspections and tests. This full-time, regular position requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain the highest standards of quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dimensional inspections, material testing, and process audits to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. You will also be responsible for documenting inspection results, identifying non-conformances, and initiating corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of quality control plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of composite materials and aerospace manufacturing processes, as well as experience with quality management systems. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to all safety protocols, and participate in training sessions to stay current with industry best practices.     Required Skills

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
    • Strong knowledge of composite materials and aerospace manufacturing processes
    • Experience with various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM
    • Familiarity with quality management systems and relevant aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
    • Ability to conduct material testing and interpret results
    • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the aerospace or composites industry
    • Hands-on experience with dimensional inspections and material testing
    • Proven track record of identifying and resolving quality issues
    • Experience in conducting process audits and implementing corrective actions
    • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques
    • History of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing
    • Experience in a regulated environment, adhering to strict quality standards and safety regulations
    • Prior involvement in quality improvement projects and initiatives
    • Experience with root cause analysis and the development of quality control plans
    • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others in quality assurance best practices
    • Previous experience working in a full-time, regular position with similar responsibilities
    • A track record of reliability and a strong work ethic
