A Tier I supplier, located in Ligonier, Indiana, is looking to hire a strong Quality Manager. This person will need to come with strong automotive industry knowledge to lead plant-level quality operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining product quality. Day-to-day responsibilities of this position include,
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and TSAs (Technical Service Agreements).
- Lead and support customer audits, launches, and issue resolution—particularly with Stellantis, Ford, and GM.
- Guide quality engineering staff; provide mentorship, direction, and performance management.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement efforts using facts and data.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Quality Manager (Frank Stark) and represent the plant in quality escalation situations.
- Interface with customer quality reps and support launches, including programs in Mexico and Michigan.
- Maintain a proactive boots-on-the-ground presence with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.
Qualifications of the position include,
- Minimum 2–3 years of quality management experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and customer portals.
- Ability to lead and develop a quality team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to analyze and act on quality data—must be data- and fact-driven.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; strong sense of urgency.
