Position Summary: The Quality Manager will oversee all quality management system (QMS) activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100:2016, NADCAP requirements, and applicable aerospace quality specifications. This role is responsible for leading quality planning, audits, inspections, supplier quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the company’s QMS in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 standards.
Oversee NADCAP accreditation programs and ensure ongoing compliance.
Interpret and apply customer-specific aerospace quality requirements, including OEM and defense contract specifications.
Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor and improve inspection processes, measurement systems, and documentation practices.
Manage supplier quality performance, including audits, assessments, and quality agreements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing functions.
Lead, mentor, and develop the quality department staff.
Serve as the primary liaison for customer quality communications and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management within aerospace manufacturing or defense contracting.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100:2016, and NADCAP requirements.
Familiarity with aerospace industry specifications (e.g., GE, Pratt & Whitney, Lockheed).
Proven track record in audit management, corrective action systems, and QMS improvement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
U.S. citizenship required due to defense-related work.
