POSITION REPORTS TO: Quality Manager/Quality Specialist

Position Overview:

The Quality Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. This position involves regular monitoring of production processes, conducting tests, and collaborating with production staff to maintain quality assurance.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 10:30pm-7:00am

Salary:

• $20.50/hr

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Conduct internal audits of production line(s), warehouses, and other applicable areas
• Perform analytical testing such as water activity including sensory
• Perform pre-operational inspections as needed
• Inspect packaged product and labels
• Perform and monitor line clearance after every lot
• Ensure production is following all production guides
• Monitor GMP compliance of employees and make corrections when necessary
• Communicate all major food safety and quality issues to Quality Managers or above
• Verify metal detector calibration
• Other duties as needed

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in using quality measurement tools and software.

Qualifications (include education, experience, specialized skills/knowledge, certifications required):

• High school diploma
• At least 1 year working in a manufacturing environment similar to 1440 Foods-Pittsburgh

Physical Environment:

This position is in a manufacturing facility and involves standing, lifting, bending and walking for extended periods throughout the day.
